Project Overview
New home construction in Osceola, WI – the owners of this property, which overlooks the St Croix River, were looking for a home that interacted with nature and yet was sophisticated and modern in appearance. The result is breathtaking. From every room, spacious glass areas pull the woods and greenery of the outdoors in to the interior spaces; there seems to be little distinction between them. It was also desirable to provide a home that interacted with the environment, the cedar exterior and burnished brown roof fit right in and a Living Roof (Turf Roof) was installed over the garage. A Geo-Thermal Heating System provides in-floor hot water heating for the building and natural stone is used extensively on the fireplace and patio.
The interior is light, bright and efficient. The Polished Concrete Floors, natural maple cabinets, millwork and trim continue the organic feeling to this home. The great room integrates the food preparation area with the dining and living areas, creating stunning views and immediate access to the river side patio and expansive screen porch.
The bedrooms and baths are similarly finished, maintaining the interaction with nature, while providing the best in modern design and amenities.
